Anne and Keo set out to impress the judges - and Anne’s two sons - with their Week 2 foxtrot. Week 1 had Nelly showing off a backflip, but Week 2 let him show off some great timing as he and Daniella impressed the judges with their cha cha.

Jeannie and pro partner Brandon Armstrong took on the challenge of the Viennese waltz, and their uplifting performance took their judges’ scores close to the top of the leaderboard. Nelly and pro partner Daniella Karagach has their first ballroom dance of the season with the foxtrot, and they continued to impress, but Carrie Ann is ready to see them take some risks.

Week 3 was a tricky one for Anne and pro partner Keo Motsepe as they danced a Disney Night quickstep, but fell a bit out-of-sync. Jeannie and pro partner Brandon Armstrong took on the challenge of the Viennese waltz, and their uplifting performance took their judges’ scores close to the top of the leaderboard.

AJ and Cheryl had the high pressure of opening the show in Week 1, so this week they got to be a little more relaxed with a foxtrot that Carrie Ann called “smooth as silk.” Anne and Keo set out to impress the judges - and Anne’s two sons - with their Week 2 foxtrot.

Nelly and pro partner Daniella Karagach has their first ballroom dance of the season with the foxtrot, and they continued to impress, but Carrie Ann is ready to see them take some risks. It was a samba for Simba as Carole and pro partner Pasha Pashkov danced to “Circle of Life” from Disney’s “The Lion King.”

Jesse and Sharna followed up an impressive Week 1 debut with a lovely Week 2 foxtrot that scored well despite dividing the judges a bit. Week 2 was another wild one for Jeannie and Brandon and their cha cha. While they of course wanted to impress the judges, they knew they had to make Jeannie’s mom proud.

Nev and pro dance partner Jenna Johnson had to embrace their inner pirate for their Argentine tango set to “Pirates of the Carribbean.” Johnny and pro partner Britt Stewart took things up a notch for their Disney Night rumba and the judges noticed that Johnny was starting to transition from figure skater to ballroom dancer.

Emotions ran high in the ballroom as Chrishell and Gleb danced their Week 2 rumba with passion and intensity. Charles and Emma may have been near the bottom of the leaderboard in Week 1, but they kept a winning, positive attitude and brought it to their Week 2 cha cha.

Extra! Extra! Jesse and pro partner Sharna Burgess danced the jive to “King of New York” from Disney’s “Newsies” with a solid performance, but it left the judges wanting a little more musicality. Chrishell and pro partner Gleb Savchenko closed out a night of Disney Magic with a lovely waltz as Cinderella and Prince Charming that enchanted the judges.

Following up from Week 1, Nev and Jenna brought the rhythm to their Week 2 cha cha that had Bruno complimenting Nev on his “nimble” footwork and Carrie Ann saying that Nev “once again impressed her.” Week 2 wasn’t quite as smooth for Skai and Alan where a miscue cost them some precious points with the judges.

It’s hard to do better for a partner than a reigning champion, so young actress Skai Jackson had to be happy to be paired with Alan Bersten. Former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe has a new man in her life: pro dance partner Artem Chigvinstev. The two of them put together a sizzling cha cha that put them near the top of the leaderboard.

Host Jeannie Mai wanted to come out of the gate strong, so she made sure her pro partner Brandon Armstrong took her straight to the acrobatics for their season premiere salsa! The quickstep is a notoriously tricky dance, so actor Jesse Metcalfe and his partner, returning pro Sharna Burgess, had a tough debut.

Justina and pro partner Sasha Farber tied for the top of the leaderboard in Week 2, and they were feeling it for their Disney Night Charleston. AJ embodied Prince Ali himself - and pro partner Cheryl Byrne was a beautiful Princess Jasmine! - for a Disney Night quickstep that was fun for the whole ballroom.
